Forum set on plan to shut two youth facilities

LITTLE VALLEY — A forum on the proposal to close state Office of Children and Family Services youth residential facilities in Limestone and Great Valley will be held at 6:30 p. m. today in the Cattaraugus County Legislative Chambers.

Employees will discuss the impact on youth, the community and the juvenile-justice system.

The forum will feature the testimony by employees represented by the state Public Employees Federation. They will join a panel of judges, law enforcement personnel and legislators to discuss preserving vital services.

The forum will be moderated by State Sen. Catharine M. Young, R-Olean, and Assemblyman Joseph M. Giglio, R-Gowanda.
