GCC Skills Training Center awards $108,000 in grants

BATAVIA — Genesee Community College’s Business Employee Skills Training Center has announced grants of $108,000 to be shared among three firms for leadership development and employee training.

They are: Oxbow International Corp. of Byron, Upstate Door of Warsaw and a consortium of five industries in the four-county area: Cy Farms of Elba, Creative Foods of Perry, Graham Manufacturing Co. of Batavia, PCore Electric of Le Roy and U. S. Gypsum Co. of Oakfield.

In the next year, the center’s work force development programs will work with more than 700 employees for leadership and training skills.
