Man charged with DWI had margarita mix on ice

RIPLEY — A Pittsburgh motorist who failed to use his turn signal in the Town of Ripley was arrested early Sunday on drunken driving charges, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report.

David P. Rutledge, 44, had a blood-alcohol level of twice the legal limit, according to deputies, who confiscated a bottle of tequila and margarita mix on ice in his vehicle, in addition to several empty beer cans and a flask filled with liquor.

Rutledge also was charged with driving with a suspended license, officers said. The arrest occurred on Lakeview Avenue at 1:34 a. m.
