DWI among the charges placed against motorist

SILVER CREEK — Troubles began for Laurie Troxell, 45, of Silver Creek, at about 7:30 p. m. Thursday, when Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies spotted her driving on Stebbins Road in the Town of Hanover with only one headlight.
As they stopped her, they found her talking on her cell phone and carrying an alcoholic beverage in an open container.
In addition to those infractions, she was ticketed for driving while intoxicated. She will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
