Talent show contestants reach semifinal round
SALAMANCA — Thirty-eight youth contestants auditioned last week in the SalamancaCares “Cattaraugus County’s Got Talent” show auditions and will return for semifinal competition at 7 p. m. Saturday in the Ray Evans Seneca Theatre. Sixteen finalists will be chosen at that time to return to the theatre and compete for prizes at 7 p. m. Oct. 25.
SalamancaCares is a nonprofit group dedicated to providing awareness, education, intervention and positive alternatives to children and their families to combat drug use. Admission fee is $6 for both shows, and additional cash prize sponsors for the top competitors are still being sought. For information, call Gigi DuPont at 378-0909.
