Snyder elected chairwoman of Republican Committee
ELLICOTTVILLE— Paula J. Snyder of Olean has been elected to a two-year term as chairwoman of the Cattaraugus County Republican Committee.
During an organizational meeting this week, committeemen also choose Robert Keis as vice chairman, Linda Milks as vice chairwoman, Marlene Chapman as secretary and Kristie Virga as treasurer.
Sue Fries of Salamanca was granted another four-year appointment as county Republican elections commissioner.
Following a motion by Committeeman Mark S. Williams of Hinsdale, the committee endorsed John McCain for president, Sarah Palin for vice president, John R. “Randy” Kuhl for Congress, Catharine M. Young for State Senate, Joseph M. Giglio for Assembly, Joseph G. Keller for county treasurer and Bradley Spink for county coroner.
