Dates, locations set for collecting used tires
LITTLE VALLEY — The Cattaraugus County Refuse Division of the Department of Public Works will collect used tires at the county’s transfer stations from 8 a. m. to 4 p. m. on the following dates and locations during September: Saturday, Salamanca; Sept. 13, Allegany; Sept. 20, Portville; Sept. 27, Machias.
The county will accept a maximum of four car tires per licensed driver at no charge on the scheduled collection days. Any tires in excess of the four-tire limit will be accepted at these rates: passenger car, $2 each; light truck, $4 each; agricultural and industrial, $4 each; large truck, $6 each; and oversized, $2 per ply.
Large truck and oversized tires on rims will be accepted for an additional $10 demounting charge. Individuals may dispose of a maximum of two car or light truck tires on regular business days at the transfer stations, for $2 or $4 user fee ticket costs. No cash will be accepted.
