Arrest follows attempt to use bogus $100 bill

DARIEN — A Pavilion man faces a felony charge for criminal possession of a forged instrument after he allegedly tried to use a fake $100 bill Sunday evening to make a purchase at Darien Lake theme park, Genesee County sheriff’s officials reported.

Harris G. Reed, 27, of West Park Street, allegedly attempted to use the counterfeit bill to buy something at the park’s game stand at about 8:30 p. m. He was arraigned and jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Police said Reed also was wanted in Le Roy and in Wyoming County for allegedly issuing bad checks.
