Cattaraugus grand jury indicts six
LITTLE VALLEY — A Cattaraugus County grand jury has issued a report of six indictments to Judge Larry M. Himelein, who scheduled arraignments for Sept. 2.
• Giovanni Salmonson, 17, of Allegany, now in the County Jail, was indicted on charges of second-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree assault of another person July 12 outside a motel in Allegany.
• Michael Chase, 17, of Olean and Eric Smith, 18, of Kill Buck were jointly indicted on charges of second-degree gang assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a golf club, July 8 when a person was assaulted outside a Uni-Mart Store in Olean. Both are being held in the County Jail.
• Robert Beckman, 22, of Salamanca was indicted on charges of first-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child March 18 in Salamanca involving a girl under age 11.
• Elliott James, 36, and Patricia Gray, 43, both of Olean were each indicted on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, Feb. 15 in Olean.
• Shelly L. Ellis, 36, of Delevan was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right March 16 in Yorkshire when she was allegedly driving with a .16 blood alcohol count, twice the legal limit.
