Commuting Concerns / Trouble spots for the upcoming week
I-90/Thruway (West Seneca, Westfield, Ripley): The eastbound ramp to Exit 55 (Ridge Road) will be closed from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Monday. There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Exit 60 (Route 394) to the Ripley toll barrier from 7 a. m. to 2 p. m. Monday and Tuesday. I-190/Niagara Thruway (Grand Island, Buffalo): The northbound ramp to Exit 19 (Whitehaven Road) will be closed from 8 a. m. to 10 a. m. Monday and Wednesday. A detour will be posted. The southbound ramp from Exit 18B (Beaver Island Parkway) will have lane restrictions from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. Monday and Tuesday. There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Exit 1 (Ogden Street) to Exit 5 (Hamburg Street) from 10 p. m. to 6:30 a. m. Monday through Thursday. There will be lane restrictions northbound from Exit 4 (Smith Street) to Exit 9 (Peace Bridge/Busti Avenue) from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. Monday through Friday. I-290/Youngmann Highway (Amherst, Town of Tonawanda): There will be lane restrictions eastbound from I-190 to Exit 7 (Main Street) from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Monday through Friday. Route 198/Scajaquada Expressway (Buffalo): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Route 33 to Niagara Street from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Monday through Saturday.
Route 219/Southern Expressway (Orchard Park, Springville, Boston, Ashford): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Route 39 to Peters Road all week. There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Route 179 (Milestrip Road) to Route 20A (Big Tree Road) from 5 a. m. to 5:30 p. m. Monday through Friday. Route 400 (Elma): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Jamison Road to Union Road all week. Abbott Road (Hamburg, Orchard Park): There will be lane restrictions southbound from Route 179 (Milestrip Road) to Route 20A (Big Tree Road) all week. Bowen Road (Elma): There will be lane restrictions in both directions at Route 400 all week. Freeman Road (Orchard Park): The road will be closed all week in both directions from Route 20A (East Quaker Street) to Jewett-Holmwood Road. Detour will be posted. Genesee Street (Cheektowaga, Lancaster): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Alpine Place to Pinehurst Avenue from 7 a. m. to 3:30 p. m. Monday through Friday. There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Holtz Road to Transit Road from 6 a. m. to 6 p. m. Monday through Friday. Ridge Road (Lackawanna): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Center Street to Lehigh Avenue all week. The right lane will be closed in both directions at I-90 from 7 a. m. to 8 p. m. Tuesday. Route 20/Southwestern Boulevard (Hamburg, Orchard Park): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from South Park Avenue to Milestrip Road all week. Route 20A/Main Street (East Aurora): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Olean Road to Elmwood Avenue from 7 a. m. to 5:30 a. m. Monday through Friday. Route 240 (Colden): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Heath Road to Holland-Glenwood Road all week. The road will be closed in both directions from Gutekunst Road to Boston Colden Road all week.
