New display features veterans of WWII
MACHIAS — Cattaraugus County’s World War II veterans are being featured in a new display in the Cattaraugus County Historical Museum and Research Center.
The exhibit was constructed by students at the Cattaraugus-Allegany-Erie- Wyoming Board of Cooperative Educational Services center in Ellicottville, under the supervision of Vincent Oliverio.
The cabinet contains World War II artifacts and videos describing memories of the war, accompanied by photographs provided by the veterans.
The museum, at 9824 Route 16, is open from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. Tuesday through Friday and from 1 to 4 p. m. the first and third Saturdays of each month.
