Woman trying to make left turn killed in crash
AMITY — A 45-year-old Cattaraugus County woman was killed late Monday night in a two-vehicle accident in Allegany County, State Police reported Wednesday.
Tara Hatzell was pronounced dead in Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville at 10:42 p. m., about half an hour after the accident in the Town of Amity.
Hatzell was on Route 48, attempting to make a left turn, when her southbound vehicle was struck by another southbound vehicle whose driver was legally trying to pass her, State Police at Amity said.
No charges have been filed against the other driver, William Schrader, 17, according to State Police.
