Grand jury indicts 7 on traffic, drug charges

LITTLE VALLEY — Seven people were indicted Tuesday by a Cattaraugus County grand jury.

The report was made to Judge Larry M. Himelein, who will schedule arraignments in upcoming weeks.

Jared P. Black, 28, of Salamanca, was indicted on charges of second-degree vehicular assault, second-degree assault, driving while intoxicated and without a license and failure to keep right in connection with his Jan. 1 arrest in the Town of Dayton. Authorities said he had a blood-alcohol count of 0.14 percent, nearly twice the legal limit. A person was seriously injured by the vehicle.

John D. Williams, 27, of Buffalo, was indicted on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after his Feb. 28 arrest in the City of Olean involving more than 500 milligrams of crack cocaine intended for sale.

Brant R. Glover, 47, of Rochester, was indicted on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, involving crack cocaine intended for sale, in connection with his arrest on Jan. 12 in Olean.

Joseph W. Shelton. 48, of Salamanca, was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. He was arrested Feb. 26 in Salamanca.

Shane M. Sinnott, 31, of East Otto, was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving without a license and speeding Jan. 21 in the Town of Ashford.

John P. Dubik, 28, of Springville, was indicted on charges of driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested Feb. 22 in the Town of Persia after authorities found him driving with a blood-alcohol count of 0.13 percent.

Mark H. Pitts, 40, of Scio, was indicted on charges of DWI and failure to keep right. Authorities said that when he was arrested March 18, 2007, in the Village of Portville, he was driving with a blood-alcohol count of 0.10 percent.
