Mount Morris man faces jail time in child porn case

Story tools:

A Mount Morris man who was convicted of rape in May 2005 admitted Thursday to possessing child pornography and faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, U. S. Attorney Terrance P. Flynn said.

Stephen C. Forshee, 25, will be sentenced in October.

In August 2005, Forshee’s computer was searched by Livingston County sheriff’s officials, who found images of child pornography, according to Assistant U. S. Attorney Tiffany H. Lee. Forshee was initially indicted on seven criminal charges in June 2006.

The indictment alleged Forshee used a minor twice — in October 2004 and August 2005 — to make sexually explicit photos to be sent over the Internet and received at least three files of child pornography in late August 2005, including one featuring forced sexual acts involving a 10-year-old.
