12 teens are accused of underage drinking

BATAVIA — A dozen teenagers were ticketed early Sunday by Genesee County sheriff’s deputies after they broke up an underage drinking party in a quarry in the Town of Batavia.

Deputies said the teens were still there when they arrived at the Kelsey Road Pits to investigate a report of underage drinking where a 15-year-old boy fell into a fire, burning his hands.

These 18-year-olds were given tickets to appear in Batavia Town Court on July 24: Vincent J. Brick of Otis Street, Batavia; Ruben Torres Jr. of Elba; Isabel R. Chandler of Covell Road, Pavilion; Ian C. Chapman of Garden Drive, Batavia; Akeem D. Marshall of Summit Street, Batavia; Danielle L. Huskins of Edgewood Drive, Batavia; Hetal B. Patel of Oak Street, Batavia; and Christopher D. Chase of Walnut Street Batavia.

These 17-year-old were given tickets to appear on the same date on the same violation, possession of alcohol with intent to consume: Nicole Peters of Munger Street, Bergen; Stephen M. Ditzel of Connolly Road, Bergen; Rosa

A. Williams of Pearl Street, Batavia; and Marquis K. Saddler of Walden Estates, Batavia.
