3 accused in plot to steal from casino
SALAMANCA — Three Salamanca residents, including a female employee of the Seneca Allegany Casino who allegedly gave her mother hundreds of stolen dollars to gamble, were arrested in a scheme to steal money from the casino, Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies reported Monday.
Sandra Whiteeagle, no age listed, and Bradley P. Stahlman, 37, were both charged with grand larceny, identity theft, scheming to defraud and conspiracy.
Brenda Whiteeagle, 55, Sandra’s mother, was charged with petit larceny and conspiracy, deputies said.
Sandra Whiteeagle, a casino employee, is accused of conspiring with Stahlman to steal the identities of several people by making false player’s cards. Sandra Whiteeagle allegedly created the fake player’s cards and put casino money on them, which was later used by Stahlman.
Several thousand dollars were won by playing with the fraudulent player’s cards between November 2007 until this April, deputies said.
Deputies also said Brenda Whiteeagle allegedly conspired with her daughter to steal unearned casino slot dollars that were placed on Brenda Whiteeagle’s player’s card as free play at the casino.
Several hundred dollars were transferred to her mother’s card and her mother then allegedly used that money to gamble. All three were released on their own recognizance.
