JAMESTOWN — A 9-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when she was hit by a car while riding her bike just before 8 p. m. Tuesday at East Second and Winsor streets.

Police said the girl was riding west on East Second when she was hit by a car driven by Janice Franks, 45, which was northbound on Winsor. The driver, police said, failed to yield the right of way to the bicyclist while turning right.

The girl was treated in WCA Hospital, then released.

Franks was ticketed, police said.
