LITTLE VALLEY — A Salamanca man convicted of driving while intoxicated was sentenced Tuesday in Cattaraugus County Court to five years of probation and fined $3,500.

Benjamen J. Roblee, 28, was sentenced by Judge Larry M. Himelein. Roblee also was convicted of driving without a license.

The crime occurred Nov. 23, 2006, in the City of Olean, according to court records, which showed Roblee’s blood-alcohol count was 0.24 percent — three times the legal limit.

In another case, Michael E. Chesbro, 25, of Olean, was sentenced to five years’ probation and fined $2,000 after being convicted of driving while intoxicated. He was arrested Jan. 1 in the Town of Allegany, according to court records, with a 0.20 percent blood-alcohol count.

District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said others entering guilty pleas will sentenced Aug. 18:

• Donald J. Johnson, 20, and Michael E. Jordon, 22, both of Cuba— fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. They were arrested Oct. 20 in Ischua with stolen items valued at more than $1,000, court records show.

• Douglas B. Mason, 38, of Olean — second-degree attempted arson. On Feb. 26, he torched an occupied Kill Buck home, according to court records.

Mason also pleaded guilty to second-degree assault Aug. 18 in the City of Olean, where he injured another person.
