Authorities Monday put out composite sketches of the three men being sought in connection with the fatal shooting of Jamestown drug suspect Quincy Turner last month.
Chautauqua County District Attorney David W. Foley identified two of the men as “suspects in connection with the shooting death of” Turner at about 8 p. m. May 30, and the third as someone police “want to question” in connection with the homicide.
Turner, 31, was arrested in the Operation Q-Dog federal and state drug bust in March. He was awaiting further court action when he was found dead in his car at an old airport hangar on Girts Road in the Town of Ellicott.
Foley said the two suspects arrived at that hangar the night of the fatal shooting “in a gold/champagne-colored Chevrolet Impala believed to be an older model of the years 2001 to 2004.”
Foley described the two suspects as Hispanic males between the ages of 35 and 45. He said one was 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall and between 140 and 160 pounds with brown eyes, dark graying hair and facial hair. He described the other as about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with a large build, dark hair and eyes, and facial hair.
The prosecutor described the third man being sought as Hispanic, age 20 to 25, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet, 1 inch tall, between 150 and 170 pounds with a slender build, brown eyes and dark hair.
He said anyone with information about any of the three men can contact the Ellicott Police Department at 665-7083, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office at 753-2131, the New York State Police at 665-3113 or the Chautauqua County DA’s office at 753-4241.
Authorities also have speculated that last week’s arrest of Jose Martinez, 39, described as a major Jamestown drug “kingpin,” might help them solve the Turner murder.
Martinez, of West 11th Street , was arrested on a federal warrant for allegedly distributing about $4 million worth of cocaine per month.
