Three graduates were honored by the Mount Mercy Alumnae Association at the recent Mercy Honors Dinner. Sister Mary E. Bendyna, class of 1979; Julia Hall, class of 1981; and Marianne Matuzic Myles, class of 1971, former U. S. ambassador to the Republic of Cape Verde, were this year’s Catherine McAuley Distinguished Alumnae Honorees. Deanna Kwiatkowski Russo, class of 1993, and Joanne M. Rainbow Bridge (Niagara Falls): Lane restrictions continue in both directions between Main Street in Niagara Falls, N. Y., and Falls Avenue in Niagara Falls, Ont. I-190 (Niagara Falls): Northbound lanes will be restricted between Exit 21A (LaSalle Expressway) and Exit 23 (Porter/Packard roads) all week. Genesee Street (Buffalo/Cheektowaga): Lane restrictions between Humason Avenue (Buffalo) and Pinehurst Avenue (Cheektowaga) from 8 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. all week. Humboldt Parkway (Buffalo): Continuing southbound lane restrictions between Northland Avenue and Hamlin Road, and northbound lane restrictions between Sidney Street and Northland Avenue all week. Ridge Road (Lackawanna): Lane restrictions continue between Center Street and Lehigh Avenue, with traffic signal controlling alternating single lane. Route 5/Main Street (Buffalo): Lane restrictions all week between Fairfield Street and the Scajaquada Expressway (Route 198). Route 20/Southwestern Boulevard (Hamburg, Orchard Park): Lane restrictions all week between Route 62/South Park Avenue (Hamburg) and California Road (Orchard Park). Route 78/Transit Road (Amherst, Cheektowaga): Lane restrictions all week between Main Street (Amherst) and Route 33 (Cheektowaga). Route 265/Military Road (Tonawanda): Lane restrictions all week between Kenmore Avenue and Fletcher Street from 7 a. m. to 5:30 p. m. HAMBURG HUMANITARIAN PROGRAM: The Hamburg School District will hold a program, Humanitarian Work Abroad, conducted by members of the Hamburg schools and the community at 7 p. m. Thursday in Hamburg High School, 4111 Legion Drive. The program will feature local residents who have worked in Haiti on humanitarian projects, students who spent two weeks in Zambia, and a group of school officials who traveled to Rwanda in July.
