Fort Erie Boy, 4, found in family pool dies

FORT ERIE, Ont.—A 4-year-old Fort Erie boy who was taken to Women& Children’s Hospital, Buffalo, after he was found in his parents’ swimming pool showing no vital signs died Sunday morning, Niagara Regional Police reported.

Niagara Regional Police, the Fort Erie Fire Department and other rescue workers were called to a Garrison Road home at 7 p. m., police said.

The boy was taken to Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie, then was transferred to Women&Children’s. Initially was listed in critical condition, he slipped into a coma and died at about 6:30 a. m. Sunday, Acting Staff Sgt. Dave Shennan told The News.
