Clarence School Board to replace 2 retiring principals

Story tools:

The Clarence School Board is expected to name replacements for two principals at its meeting Monday.

Board members accepted the retirements of High School Principal Joseph F. Gentile and Sheridan Hill Principal Michael J. Codd at their April 27 meeting.

Gentile has been been in public education 37 years, the last 15 years as high school principal. He was the third principal in the history of the school. During his tenure, student enrollment increased 60 percent, and the building went through two major renovation projects.

Codd’s retirement concludes a career in public education that includes 15 years as a teacher and 26 years as an administrator, including the last 21 at Sheridan Hill.
