Clarence resident wins $16,000 on ‘Millionaire’
Brian Haseltine, an insurance agent from Clarence, walked away with $16,000 in winnings on Friday’s episode of the television program “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” which was broadcast on channel CW 23.
He started on Thursday’s episode and worked his way up to the $16,000 question.
He was on the hot seat for a $25,000 question but decided not to take a guess, leaving him with the $16,000.
The $25,000 question, in the category of “Scrabble,” was: “What are the only U. S. state names that can’t be spelled from a standard set of 98 Scrabble tiles, not including the blanks?”
The answer options were: A — Mississippi and Hawaii; B— Arkansas and Pennsylvania; C— Connecticut and Kentucky, and D— Massachusetts and Colorado. The correct answer is C.
