Clarence accident results in DWI charge
Erie County sheriff’s deputies investigating a hit-and-run property-damage accident on Transit Road in Clarence charged an Amherst man with driving while intoxicated Sunday night.
Following the crash, Deputy Daniel Brinkerhoff stopped a vehicle driven by Kamile A. Aslam on North Brier Road. A subsequent chemical test revealed that Aslam, of Willow Lane, registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.09 percent, sheriff’s officials said.
Aslam, 32, was charged with DWI, leaving the scene of a property-damage accident and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to police reports.
