Shooting in Riverside leaves man with calf injury
A shooting in the Riverside section just before midnight Saturday wounded a man in the calf, Buffalo police report. He was treated in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, then taken to Erie County Medical Center. The injury was not considered life-threatening.
Three or four shots were fired, two striking a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Esser Avenue, according to a report. Police did not indicate whether the victim was in the vehicle or standing near it.
The gunman is described as a white man, about 5-foot-9, weighing 150 to 160 pounds, with dirty-blond hair. He was wearing a Buffalo Bills jersey and black gym shorts with a white stripe.
