An armed bandit took roughly $400 after pointing a gun at the clerk of the Rite-Aid drug store at Kenmore and Colvin avenues late Thursday night, Kenmore police reported.
The thief walked into the drug store at about 9:50 p. m., pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded that the clerk fill the bag he put on the counter with money, Assistant Police Chief Peter Breitnauer said.
The chief described the robber as a black male, about 5 foot 8, wearing a red BMX-style helmet, a long-sleeved red shirt and gloves.
The thief was last seen fleeing east on Kenmore Avenue.
