United Way of Niagara reaches 47 percent of goal
The United Way of Niagara has raised less than half its goal through eight weeks of its annual Community Care Campaign, the organization announced Wednesday.
Donations totaling $407,612, or about 47 percent, have come in toward the $863,954 goal for the nine-week drive, the group said in a written statement.
As of last week, the organization raised $356,470, or 41 percent of its goal. Contributions to the organization go to benefit 16 member agencies.
Tickets are also being sold for the organization’s Victory Celebration Luncheon at noon next Friday in the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Third Street in Niagara Falls. For information or to make reservations, call 285-8461.
