4 vehicles broken into near Buffalo Ave. hotel

Story tools:

NIAGARA FALLS—Four vehicles parked in the vicinity of a Buffalo Avenue motel were broken into Saturday night, including one that had nearly $10,000 worth of items taken from it.

The break-ins happened near the Fallside Hotel and Conference Center between about 9 and 11 p. m., according to several city police reports.

A group of four men from California said their band’s vehicle was broken into after they parked to watch fireworks. Taken from their vehicle were three laptop computers, two iPods, two cell phones, a GPS unit, a camera and about $2,000 in cash.

Only one of the other vehicles that were broken into had anything taken.
