Following is a weekly listing of upcoming events of area faith groups held around Niagara County.

Today

ANNUAL PICNIC: Hot dogs, hamburgers, Italian sausage, pies and ice cream, as well as chicken chowder and a basket auction, 11 a. m., St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn.

Monday

PRAYER:Ministry team from churches throughout the Buffalo Niagara region utilizes God’s word and training to assist anyone who is sick physically, emotionally or spiritually, 7 to 9 p. m., St. James United Church of Christ, 4661 Porter Road, Niagara Falls. No fee and no appointment necessary. Appointments can also be made by calling 884-0048.

Tuesday

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP: Tony Scinta, photographer, will teach digital photography techniques, including purchasing a digital camera, taking photographs, downloading photographs and processing and printing photographs. Free, but nonperishable food items will be accepted for the North Tonawanda Pantry. Grace Lutheran Church, 375 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Wednesday

LUNCHEON:Includes salad bar with 50 salads, as well as rolls, ham, "Clue” game throughout the Village of cheese, beverage and desserts, 11:30 a. m. to 1 p. m. Tickets are $8 at the door. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 61 Payne Avenue, North Tonawanda. Call Ellie for group reservations at 692-0623.

Friday

RUMMAGE SALE: Includes bake sale, 9 a. m. to 4 p. m., Hartland United Methodist Church, 8017 Ridge Road, Gasport. Last hour is a $1 bag sale.

MYSTERY NIGHT: Live-action

Wilson will explore a “heinous crime,” the theft of Youth Pastor Stephen Hay’s Scottish kilt. The first team to correctly solve the mystery will be given the “Sherlock Holmes Award.” 7 p. m. Free and open to the public. First Baptist Church, 251 Chestnut St., Wilson. No registration required.

Saturday

CAR SHOW:Includes indoor craft show and entertainment by Terry Buchwald, 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Free admission. St. Matthew Lutheran Church and School, 875 Eggert Drive, North Tonawanda. Registration fee to enter a car in the show is $15. Call the school at 692-6862, Ext. 200, for more information.
