Music, fireworks are part of BoomDays celebration

NIAGARA FALLS—A BoomDays celebration featuring music and fireworks will take place from 6 to 10 p. m. Saturday at the LaSalle Yacht Club on 68th Street and Buffalo Avenue.

BoomDays, which celebrates spring and the lifting of the Lake Erie ice boom, also will include events at Dug’s Dive in Buffalo and the Youngstown Yacht Club.

The Niagara Falls event will feature music by Ladies First Jazz, 22 exhibits by local community organizations, food and a cash bar. There is no admission fee to the open house, but organizers are asking for a $5 donation to support the community organization LaSalle Pride.
