Salvation Army seeking Thanksgiving donations

Story tools:

LOCKPORT — The Lockport chapter of the Salvation Army, 50 Cottage St., is seeking donations of turkeys and other food for its Thanksgiving Day dinner for the needy.

Organizer Al Sammarco said he expects more than 600 meals will be served next Thursday and some 60 turkeys will probably be needed. Donations may be brought to the Cottage Street site, along with other food offerings for the feast. Any excess food gifts will be saved for Christmas use, volunteer cook Jack Rinaldo said.

The Salvation Army also is taking delivery orders for Thanksgiving meals at 434-1276.
