NIAGARA-WHEATFIELD

Yearbook staff reaching out for 50th anniversary photos

Story tools:

SANBORN — Students at Niagara- Wheatfield High School who are creating this year’s yearbook want to look back a half century.

They are asking the public for old photos from the school’s past, even 50- year-old photos, to include in the edition which will commemorate the school’s 50th anniversary.

“We are looking for any old photos pertaining to the school’s history, past administrators, student activities, prom pictures, plays, musical events, or any other past event that would be fun to include,” said school counselor Dawn Yeates, who, with art teacher Marilou Miskey, is coordinating the activity.

“We would also like to include a section on alumni with any family members, children, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, etc. who are currently students at the high school,” she added. “A group photo labeled with names, relationships, and year of graduation would be perfect. Hopefully, we have some three-generation alumni out there.”

Anyone submitting photos is asked to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope so that they can be returned. Photos can be sent to: Marilou Miskey or Dawn Yeates, N-W High School, 2292 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, NY 14132.

Copies of the yearbook can be ordered in November by calling (866) 282-1516 or online at www.jostensyearbooks.com .
