Bar code scanner stolen from store
LOCKPORT — Two men stole a bar code scanner valued at $1,500 Tuesday from the Big Lot’s store on South Transit Road.
A store employee reported the theft to Niagara County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday after reviewing security tapes from the day of the crime. About 4:25 p. m on Tuesday one man was seen paying for two DVDs using a credit card while the other man crawled into an unmanned cashier station and stole the bar code scanner.
