Peach Festival announces competition winners
The Lewiston Peach Festival announced winners Sunday for competitions ranging from cheerleading to parade floats.
First-place cheerleading winners are:
•Freshman cheerleading: Pendleton Predators.
•Sophomore cheerleading: Niagara Falls Football Cobras.
•Junior cheerleading: Lockport Buccaneers.
•Varsity cheerleading: Niagara Catholic.
First-place Peach Festival parade winners:
•Majorettes, senior division: Grand Island Islettes.
•Majorettes, junior division: Niagara Royalettes.
•Novelty Drill and dance companies: Adell’s School of Dance, Niagara Falls.
•Drill Team: Old Fort Niagara.
•Cheerleading groups: Outlaw All- Stars, Niagara Stars.
•Military Unit: Niagara University ROTC.
•Unattached color guard: Niagara County Sheriff’s Honor Guard.
•Veteran’s Post Color Guard: B. Leo Dolan Post, Lockport.
•Best Fire Company appearance: Lewiston No. 1.
•Best Float: Fairchild Manor, Lewiston.
Also, the Peach Fuzz winner was Logan Winnie, 4, of Niagara Falls.
The Peach Blossom winner was Amiah Joseph, 5, of Niagara Falls.
