HOW TO PROCEED IN HEART ATTACK
Everyone should be alert to the following “signals” of a heart attack:
• Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting two minutes or more.
• Pain may spread to the shoulders, neck or arms.
• Severe pain, dizziness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath also may occur.
Minutes count when a heart attack strikes, the American Heart Association reminds.
Persons recognizing the “signals” should call 911 immediately to get emergency medical help or get someone to take them to a hospital.
