Traffic stop leads to arrest of driver wanted in Falls
CAMBRIA — A burned-out license plate lamp led to the arrest of a Rochester man wanted by Niagara Falls police on two felony charges.
Shawn D. Thomas, 37, was pulled over by sheriff’s deputies at 3 a. m. Saturday as he drove down Saunders Settlement Road. After learning that Thomas’ driver’s license was suspended for failure to pay child support, deputies also found that he was wanted in Niagara Falls on charges of felony assault and fourth-degree grand larceny and harassment, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies reported.
Thomas was charged by deputies with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and having an inadequate plate lamp. He was then turned over to Falls police for booking on their outstanding warrant.
