Town’s new fire hall readies dedication
WHEATFIELD — The land was mostly farmland and wheat fields 30 years ago, but the community is changing and the Adams Volunteer Fire Hall — Station 2 — on Klemer Road was built to blend in with new housing, businesses and subdivisions that surround it.
The public is invited to the dedication of the 4,000-square-foot hall from 1 to 3 p. m. Saturday at 3805 Klemer Road. The $500,000 project took two years of planning and nine months of construction. It will house a pumper, emergency rescue vehicle, a workout area, office space, and a shower/locker room area.
Third Assistant Fire Chief Keith Lange said the land was donated 30 years ago by the late Frank and and Aggie Moeller, longtime fire company members.
