Legislature allocates slot machine profits
LOCKPORT — The Niagara County Legislature on Tuesday approved the allocation of $20,000 from the county’s share of Seneca Niagara Casino slot machine profits to assorted recipients.
The Legislature sent $5,000 to the Canal Fest of the Tonawandas and $2,500 each to the Village of Lewiston for Academy Park improvements; the Lewiston Museum for security system upgrades; the Sanborn Winetique Festival for promotion and marketing; a feasibility study for a Niagara Falls-to-Lewiston trolley system; the Herschell Carrousel Museum in North Tonawanda; and Eagles Aerie 1411 in Wheatfield for a barbecue contest.
