New steakhouse in Newfane vandalized, owner reports
NEWFANE — The owner of a new steakhouse on Lockport-Olcott Road said someone vandalized the business he had begun renovating.
Kevin Stubbs of Ransomville told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies Tuesday that sometime over the weekend someone entered his new Del Fuego Steakhouse, formerly the Rib House, possibly by kicking in the door, and stole an air compressor and an air gun.
Stubbs said he found damage to a speaker cone, two toilets and a cash register. Also broken were 15 drinking glasses, and deputies said someone had thrown the cash register tape across the banquet room.
Niagara County sheriff’s investigators collected evidence at the scene. Total loss and damage were estimated at $1,050, deputies said.
