Falls man avoids jail in cocaine case
LOCKPORT — A bit player in the David A. Phelps cocaine ring avoided jail time Monday before Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Grady I. Peterson, 37, of 100th Street, Niagara Falls, had pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree possession of a controlled substance. He was a customer of cocaine dealer Phelps, who was sentenced last week to six years in prison.
Murphy placed Peterson on probation for five years and ordered him to serve 50 days in the county work program.
