Judge sets sentencing for admitted forger
LOCKPORT — A Minard Street man pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court on Thursday to using another man’s personal data to apply for a credit card and to taking part in a burglary.
Michael J. Cordelia, 42, admitted to attempted second-degree forgery and petit larceny. He was scheduled for sentencing Oct. 2 by Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza.
Cordelia applied online for a credit card Dec. 6, three days after he and a Medina teenager broke into the Pine Street apartment of the teenager’s sister. John T. Sargent, 16, of South Main Street, Medina, pleaded guilty to petit larceny two weeks ago and agreed to pay restitution of $500. He is awaiting sentencing.
