Following is a weekly listing of upcoming events of area faith groups held around Niagara County.
Today
CHICKEN BARBECUE: 11:30 a. m. until sold out, Covenant United Church of Christ, 4449 Main St., Gasport. Barbecue will feature “Wendel’s Secret BBQ Sauce.” Price is $8 for half chicken dinner; drive-thru and takeout available. Themed basket raffle drawing will begin at 1:30 p. m. CHICKEN BARBECUE: Noon until sold out, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1419 Falls St., Niagara Falls. Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue and basket auction hosted by Committee for the Historic Preservation of Holy Trinity Catholic Church will be held under tents on the church property. An outdoor Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a. m. Tickets are $8 for a half-chicken dinner and are available at the event or by calling Sophie at 284-8285. Takeout available.
Saturday
WELLNESS: 9:30 to 11:30 a. m., fitness and wellness program for adults over 60. The program at Christ Redemption Tabernacle Church, 2002 Forest Ave., Niagara Falls, is offered in partnership with the Health Association of Niagara County Inc. For more information, call 282-5152.
