During bingo at church, thieves hit classroom
PENDLETON — Wine, candy and a gift basket are believed to have been stolen from a church while members were having bingo Thursday night.
A member of Good Shepherd Church on Tonawanda Creek Road told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies that someone took the wine, candy and basket, valued at $95, from a classroom in the church school adjacent to the main church.
She said they have bingo from 6:30 to 10 p. m. on Thursday and believes juveniles may have entered during bingo and removed the items. Deputies said there was no sign of forced entry.
