Homeless man charged in house burglary
NIAGARA FALLS — Police investigating a burglary-in-progress call at a vacant house on Whitney Avenue arrested a homeless man late Saturday.
David Dortch, 42, whose last known address was on Linwood Avenue, was charged with third-degree burglary at 10:40 p. m. Neighbors phoned police after seeing a man in a window of the home, appearing to be rifling through property inside. Dortch was apprehended without incident, police said.
