Driver pleads not guilty in drunken-driving case
NIAGARA FALLS — A 20-year-old Buffalo man faces multiple drunken-driving charges after police saw him driving along Niagara Falls Boulevard with the right front tire of his red 1992 Buick flat, smoking and shredding.
James Aviles III, of Sidway Street, was arrested at 3:49 a. m. Sunday. He pleaded not guilty in City Court on Tuesday to charges including driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI.
Aviles, who registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.21, was released without bail and his driver’s license was suspended. He is due back in court next Tuesday.
