Fire in Fancher bungalow tied to electrical problem
FANCHER — A man is homeless after fire tore through his one-room bungalow at 15862 State Route 31 in this Town of Murray hamlet about 7:30 a. m. Wednesday, Orleans County sheriff’s deputies said.
Ben Little, 62, the sole occupant of the 10-by-10-foot home, was not injured in the fire. The house is owned by Lydia Duncan of Fancher.
Firefighters from two companies, Holley and Fancher Hulberton Murray, battled the fire, which was blamed on an electrical problem in a refrigerator.
The Red Cross was assisting Little.
