Man charged with DWI after vehicle hits parked car

Story tools:

One vehicle slammed into a parked car in Cheektowaga, setting off a chain-reaction accident that ended with the first vehicle rolling over and its driver being charged with driving while intoxicated late Wednesday, police said.

The vehicle driven by Eric Skrok, 22, of Mafalda Drive, Cheektowaga, drifted to the left side of Huxley Drive, smashing into one parked car, which then struck another parked vehicle shortly before 10 p. m., Cheektowaga police said.

Skrok’s vehicle rolled over and landed upside-down. Cheektowaga police Lt. James Speyer said Skrok suffered abrasions to his left arm while climbing out of the vehicle.

Police charged him with DWI and failure to keep right. Skrok registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 percent, according to police.
