Lightning strike leaves 5,000 without power
A lightning strike in Cheektowaga left 5,000 NYSEG customers without power Thursday night.
At around 8:30 p. m., lightning hit the Losson Road power station, tripping several circuits and bringing down some wires, said NYSEG spokesman Randy Edwards. A crew was repairing damages late Thursday.
