$500,000 renovation planned for gymnasium

Story tools:

Buffalo Seminary has embarked on a $500,000 renovation project that will transform its current gymnasium into two squash courts, a badminton court, a fitness center with cardio equipment and weights, an updated shower and locker room, athletic department offices and an enclosed balcony.

The work, funded largely by donations, began last month and is scheduled to be completed before classes resume in September, said Jody Douglass, head of school. It involves about 6,500 square feet on the campus at 205 Bidwell Parkway.
