Louis Gossett Jr. to talk about growing up in Brooklyn

Academy Award-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr. will be a guest at Temple Beth Zion, 805 Delaware Ave., where he will share his childhood experiences growing up in an ethnically diverse Brooklyn neighborhood.

The free event is scheduled for 7:30 p. m. April 17. A brief Shabbat service will be held prior to Gossett’s talk.

Gossett, who attended New York University on a basketball scholarship and briefly played for the New York Knicks, has been an actor for five decades.
